Creating Communities of Care is a coalition of 285 corridor churches and Mountain Resource Center that supports trained volunteers in establishing
a caring community for a person who has a long-term illness, is terminally ill, or disabled. Volunteers take a group of friends, relatives, neighbors
or coworkers and turn them into a “circle of care” to provide help in meeting the daily challenges involved in caregiving.
Facilitators are trained by Mountain Resource Center staff through the Life Quality Institute, which is associated with Denver Hospice.
Care may include: providing meals, house cleaning, dog walking, babysitting, running errands, or whatever needs are determined by the Circle of Care.
