2,114 Adults with 2,113 Children Served in 2007

“Neighbors helping Neighbors” means that mountain residents can access aid through Mountain Resource Center to meet their immediate needs. With the help of volunteer Family Advocates, individuals and families receive support and a “starting point” in resolving crisis needs such as:

Food
Social services application assistance
Housing
Medicaid and CHP+ applications
Clothing
Diapers and other baby supplies
Employment
Utility assistance and firewood
Legal referrals
Domestic violence services
Counseling referrals
Prescription assistance
Vision or dental care
Medical care advocacy
